Is Caring Hearts Cottage the right place for me or my Loved One?
– Caring Hearts Cottage provides 24 hour care and supervision for those who want only the best in their twilight years. Fresh eggs from our flock, veggies from our garden and fruit from our orchard supplemented with only the best foods from the Vista farmers market and organically sourced meat and dairy. Our caregivers live onsite and the property owners and administrators are onsite every day.
Can you accept residents with dementia?
– Yes we can provided that they do not have behaviors that will disrupt or endanger the other residents. Our property is gated and we can provide a safe environment for wanderers.
Can we receive hospice services while at Caring Hearts Cottage?
-Yes, we welcome residents who are using hospice services. We are not affiliated with any particular hospice agency but we can make recommendations.
What is the cost?
Providing high quality nutrition and round the clock caregivers under RN supervision is costly. Residents can expect to pay around $4,000 per month for all inclusive care. Residents with special needs such as frequent assistance during sleeping hours or wandering dementia residents requiring one on one supervision may incur additional charges.
Do you accept Medicare or private insurance?
Since we are not a medical facility, Medicare, Medical and private insurance do not reimburse for our services.
What does Caring Hearts Cottage provide?
– We have a total of 5 bedrooms, three of which are private. Rooms are fully furnished with a bed, lamps, dresser, night stand and closet space is provided. If you prefer, you may bring your own twin sized bed but we cannot accept mattresses unless they are new, in the packaging for health reasons. We cannot accommodate large items like dressers or tables. All toiletries, linens and towels are provided. Incontinent residents will need to provide their own briefs.
What are the visiting hours?
– Due to COVID-19 restrictions, visiting hours are currently 9:00am to 6:00pm. COVID -19 visitation procedures are currently in effect.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are allowed to visit with advance notice. We have chickens so they must be put away first.
Is Caring Hearts Cottage wheelchair accessible?
Yes, there are ramps in front and wide hallways with large bedrooms and bathrooms.
